Soooo sorry for not updating forever!!!So since I haven't updated-I'm really gonna update-I am even gonna write on our blog-imagine that! HAHA! :) We have had a very busy but fun summer! We were able to go to Michigan for a full two weeks-God was so good to us! We drove out with my parents(Mason was a trooper!)as my Dad bought a boat in Sparta and had to go pick it up! There, we were so blessed by both GG Berry, Grandma Upton,Aunt Jill and Uncle Dan, The Youngquists and of course wonderful Grandma Carolyn and Grandpa Jack! :) We have such GREAT families and friends in Michigan. Mason LOVED the Michigan water-it seemed like he was in it all vacation!We also got to go see some of the familias Josh knew/loves from La Vina.They of course, were soo excited to see Josh. It was a great trip! We were so thankful for the trip and came back relaxed and refreshed!
When we came back we got busy with getting the house ready for my new daycare adventure! Josh did soo much, as did my parents and our neighbor Mike. Mason helped too-he was especially helpful while daddy was away at training and showed Mommy how to put the new kids table together! It all came together and as of August 4th, we have a licensed daycare called "Nurturing Nature Family Child Care". Sooo excited to be able to watch Mason grow and change each day, as well as bless other families!
In August we were able to go on a camping trip with some families from our church near Telluride. It was beautiful up there and Mason was a big helper trying to help daddy set up the tent.
For our anniversary, Josh and I went to Ouray and hiked up to the Chief Ouray Mine! Woo-what a workout. At the top there is a beautiful waterfall, so it was totally worth all the hard work. We then went back down (much easier!) and camped at an amazing spot nearby where we could see the San Juans right out of our tent. The next day, I was baptised at Ridway Reservoir with around 20 other church family members!
This past weekend was the big family Taylor Trip. Each year on Labor Day Weekend, my family on my mom's side goes to Taylor Reservoir and rents out cabins. There we fish, hike, go 4-Wheeling and usually eat more calories than any human should ever consume in 72 hrs! :) This year, Mason got to go on his first real fishing trip on the boat with Grandpa Jerry! He caught 2 fish and was VERY excited. So was Grandpa Jerry! Mason also did a little "Rock Climbing" while we were there! Josh enjoyed playing cards and checkers with cousin George and Grandma Peggy till 11:00 PM-keeping me awake-though I secretly enjoyed hearing the boys banter with Grandma about who was cheating, not playing by the rules, etc!
Looking back at this summer, all I can say is we have been sooooooooo blessed!! God has and continues to provide soo much for us! We are so grateful to Him and in this crazy time in our world, we look to the future asking him to keep guiding our steps. "We may not know what the future holds, but we know WHO holds the future!"

With those two projects out of the way, our summer is gonna consist of lots of great outdoor adventures with Mason. He LOVES being outside! We are headed to my grandparents cabin this weekend, bringing the tent just in case all the fam up there doesn't fit in all 6 beds! Mason has plans this summer with both Papa Fish and Papa Hat...gonna fish with Papa quite a bit and ride the tractor with Papa Hat! We are blessed also, with getting to see Papa Jack and Grandma Carolyn here next week! I am sure we are due for a trip to the Hot Springs in Ouray! Lastly, our biggest, most exciting news...Mason is going to be a brother!!! We just found out a couple weeks ago and the tentative due date is January 14, niece Olivia's Birthday! We are so excited to become a family of 4! :)
