Aw..Summer!!

Finally, summer has arrived! The wind is still blowing like crazy so it seems like it's March, but the green, heat and smell of summer have definitely arrived! Thus, projects abound! We have restained our massive deck and Josh put a baluster in between each existing baluster to ensure proper safety for the kiddos...I think we might just live out there this summer!

I also started my own garden out of an old international truck bed that belonged to my grandpa. He said I was crazy and it'd never work, but I hope to bring him some beautiful veggies and prove him wrong! :) We drilled holes in the bottom, put some rocks for drainage and filled and filled and filled it up with half compost, half soil. Now, hopefully the wind won't beat them to their death!!
With those two projects out of the way, our summer is gonna consist of lots of great outdoor adventures with Mason. He LOVES being outside! We are headed to my grandparents cabin this weekend, bringing the tent just in case all the fam up there doesn't fit in all 6 beds! Mason has plans this summer with both Papa Fish and Papa Hat...gonna fish with Papa quite a bit and ride the tractor with Papa Hat! We are blessed also, with getting to see Papa Jack and Grandma Carolyn here next week! I am sure we are due for a trip to the Hot Springs in Ouray! Lastly, our biggest, most exciting news...Mason is going to be a brother!!! We just found out a couple weeks ago and the tentative due date is January 14, niece Olivia's Birthday! We are so excited to become a family of 4! :)

Mason is 2!

Mason turned two today! We feel so blessed by our little man each day! He is growing and learning and starting to talk soo much! He now can recognize all his letters, count to ten in english and spanish and knows all "the colors of the rainbow". He loves to pray; even goes to a special corner and prays at different times during the day. With a gentle little spirit, loving blue eyes that melt your heart and a fun-loving, joyous attitude toward life, he goes about blessing our days! :) We had a party on Saturday to celebrate and around 35 people came! Then his cousin Livy got to spend the night! Then today, on his Birthday we went out to a really nice restaurant for breakfast, took him to pick out a fish for his Birthday (a Beta-he named "Bluey") and then on to a family super bowl party (Go SAINTS!). Some very special times for sure! Here are some pics from all of the celebrating! Enjoy!
